About
Galerie Delacroix is the exhibition space of the Institut français de Tanger, the Tangier branch of the Institut français du Maroc. It is located at 86 rue de la Liberté in Tangier. The Institut français describes it as a place to discover contemporary art, and as unique in France's cultural network abroad.
The gallery has three exhibition rooms, with 150 square metres of space and seventy-nine linear metres of wall. Besides exhibitions, it hosts artist residencies and workshops. The Institut français says the gallery exists to bring emerging artists forward and to encourage dialogue and exchange between cultures and between artists. Entry is free.
Exhibitions in 2025 and 2026 include Hiba Baddou's Paraboles : Une Odyssée Hertzienne (May to June 2026) and Yann Arthus-Bertrand's LEGACY (January to March 2026). Hicham Lahlou showed Constellations: Retour vers le futur from October to December 2025. Earlier in 2025 the gallery presented Omar Mahfoudi's Des branches oubliées, with Galerie Afikaris, and an exhibition by Amina Rezki.
