Biography

Zineb Mezzour, born in 1996, is a Swiss-Moroccan artist who also works as a data scientist and research engineer. Her output takes three forms: ink works on paper, ceramics and photographs.

Fractals, patterns that repeat themselves throughout nature, are her subject, and she works at both micro and macro scales. On paper she lets ink and water run together, seeking what her site calls "the balance between chaos and order". Her solo exhibitions include Zea Blues at L'Epargne, Casablanca, in 2021, and Fusion in'k space at Myriem Himmich Gallery, Casablanca, in 2022. In 2022 she also held two solo shows in Marseille, Orbes and A taste of Blue.

Mezzour studied computer science at IE University, Madrid, and business administration at HEC Lausanne between 2014 and 2019, with an exchange at FU Berlin. She later attended Les Ateliers des Beaux-Arts in Marseille in 2022 and joined Le Cercle de l'Art in Paris in 2023. With Myriem Himmich Gallery she has shown at 1-54 in Marrakech and London, at AKAA and at Menart. In 2026 she took part in Afroblue at Fondation Blachère, Bonnieux. MACAAL in Marrakech holds fifteen of her works, and Fondation Blachère holds one ceramic.
