B7L9 Art Centre
La Marsa, Tunisia, established 2019
A non-profit art centre of the Kamel Lazaar Foundation in Bhar Lazreg, outside Tunis, opened in 2019.

About
B7L9 Art Centre is a non-profit contemporary art centre in Bhar Lazreg, a district on the outskirts of Tunis. It opened in 2019 as the first permanent home of the Kamel Lazaar Foundation, and its organisers describe it as the first centre of its kind in Tunisia.
The name spells out how the neighbourhood is pronounced in Arabic. The centre was planned with local residents, who also helped design its striped facade, a reworking of the dazzle camouflage painted on ships in the First World War.
Inside are an exhibition hall of 500 square metres, a screening room, a studio for dance and music, adaptable rooms for events and a garden. A recording studio for young and early-career artists was added in October 2025. Alongside exhibitions, the centre runs talks, workshops, music, residencies and arts education for children, reaching audiences beyond central Tunis.
