Lebanese artist Akram Zaatari was born in 1966 and works as a filmmaker, photographer, archivist and curator. In 1997 he co-founded the Arab Image Foundation with the photographers Fouad Elkoury and Samer Mohdad, to collect, study and archive the photographic history of the Arab world.
