Aline Kallab

Aline Kallab (born in Beirut, Lebanon) is an artist who works in painting and mixed media. She is also known as Aline Sawouk Kallab. Her early years were marked by the war. Of the forms she uses, painting is the one she feels closest to.

Hortensia is a gouache on paper measuring 15 x 25 cm. Mouvement 1 is an acrylic on paper measuring 30 x 42 cm. Besides painting, she writes scripts and has worked on several film and television projects. Her training includes a Master's degree in Fine Arts.

She showed in collective exhibitions at ALBA, the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts, in 2017 and 2022. In 2024 a virtual exhibition with Arteom Gallery, Poland, was shown on a screen in Times Square, New York. She has worked with Artists of Beirut since 2025. With the collective she showed in Un Autre Monde at Arthaus, Gemmayzeh, Beirut (2025). Over the Rainbow, at the Bossa Nova hotel, Sin el-Fil (2025), brought together 16 women artists. Roots & Wings, at Rebirth Beirut Space, Beirut (2026), gathered 26 women artists.
