Alia Corm

Alia Corm is a French-Lebanese abstract painter based in Larnaca, Cyprus. Self-taught, she paints in acrylic on canvas, in series such as Circles and Black and White. Before turning to painting she studied and worked in history and cultural heritage management.

She moved to Cyprus in 2011 and took up painting full time in 2017. She describes her process as spontaneous, letting the canvas guide each composition. Works include Salt Lake and Encounter (both 2025), each 100 by 100 cm. She is the granddaughter of the painter Georges Daoud Corm, and holds weekly workshops in her studio.

Her solo exhibitions include Through the Looking Glass (2018) and Expressions of Light (2021) at Elements Gallery, Larnaca, and Si petits abstraits at Demain et Ailleurs, Paris (2019). Later solo shows were Dialogue, Remembrance of the Past at the French Institute of Cyprus, Nicosia (2022), and Kaleidoscope at Gallery Kypriaki Gonia, Larnaca (2025). Group exhibitions include The Art of Collaboration at the Pierides Museum, Larnaca (2019), and All the Places We Belong at Arthaus, Beirut (2026).
