Biography
Abderrahmane Rahoule was born in Casablanca in 1944. He studied at the city's École des Beaux-Arts from 1962 to 1972. In 1967 he trained in ceramics in Delft, in the Netherlands, and in faience in Czechoslovakia. He later furthered his training at the École des arts et métiers in Paris.
After graduating in 1972 he joined the school's teaching staff, where he taught for about 30 years before directing it. His work spans painting, sculpture in terracotta and bronze, and ceramics. Le Matin notes that he is known for showing all three disciplines together. Press accounts tie him to the Groupe de Casablanca.
A solo show at Au 9 in Casablanca (2004 to 2005) marked a turn to brighter colours and double collage. In 2022 Le Sous-Sol in Agadir gave him Casablanca, École de la vie, his first full monographic exhibition. African Arty presented his work at 1-54 Marrakech in 2025. He has belonged to the Association marocaine des arts plastiques.
