Biography
Tamara Khodr is a Lebanese painter from Mount Lebanon, born in 1991. Self-taught, she paints in acrylic on canvas in a palette of bold colour. She studied business administration at the American University of Beirut and took a master's in fashion collection management at Accademia del Lusso, Milan.
Her paintings show figures in everyday Lebanese scenes, hanging out washing or talking across apartment balconies, with faces broken into several planes in a manner that draws on Cubism. She cites the stories of rebirth and past lives she heard growing up within a minority community in Mount Lebanon as a main source. Works include Veranda Tales (2024), 180 by 130 cm, and Transition (2025).
Her work has been shown in Identity Crisis at FLTRD Gallery, Dubai (2023), at DIFC Art Nights, Dubai, in 10452 at Al Mezzanine Gallery, Dubai, and during Beirut Art Days in 2025. She took part in the Artists of Beirut collective exhibition at Arthaus, Beirut, in 2026.
