Nicole Mezher

Nicole Mezher is a Lebanese painter who lives and works in Beirut. She paints mainly in acrylic on canvas and also makes mixed-media collage on wood. She began painting in 1998 under Fouad Tomb, spending four years copying works by earlier masters to learn classical painting and drawing.

Her work moves between landscape, nature and the figure, and towards abstraction, modelling volume with light and shadow on a flat surface. Works include Evasion (2022), acrylic on canvas, and La confession des oiseaux (2022), collage and acrylic on wood.

Her first exhibition was held in 2004. She took part in Unique Realities at the Sala Prado of the Ateneo de Madrid in 2017 and in an exhibition at the UNESCO Palace, Beirut, in 2022. In 2024 she showed in a Lebanese Artists Association exhibition at the Archaeological Museum of the American University of Beirut. She has exhibited with the Artists of Beirut collective since 2020.
