Lama Mansour

Lama Mansour is a Lebanese painter, born in Beirut in 1971. She paints the human face and body in oil and mixed media. After ten years in industrial economics she turned to art in 2017, studying painting with Bassam Kahwagi, and holds a master's degree in art criticism and curatorship from Saint Joseph University.

Her paintings centre on the female body, which she describes as a silent body in perpetual motion. Nudes are set in spare settings in a cool range of blues, greys and violets, with fragmented and distorted forms that show the body without idealisation. She names Egon Schiele and Francis Bacon as influences. Works include In My Head (2021), mixed media on unstretched canvas, 150 by 130 cm.

She took part in Break All Frames, Women Diversity in Art at Beit Beirut in 2018. She has exhibited with the Artists of Beirut collective since 2022, including Simple Pleasures (2023) and All Shades of Colours (2025) at Rebirth Beirut Space. In 2025 she also showed on the collective's booth at the Menart Fair, Paris.
