Adeeb Farhat

Adeeb Farhat is a Lebanese filmmaker, researcher and archivist from Arabsalim, a village in South Lebanon. He runs the production company The Media Booth in Beirut, and his installations combine archival objects and documents with video and recorded oral testimony.

He has built an archive of about 4,000 items on South Lebanon under occupation from 1975 to 2000 and on later wars. It includes newspapers, magazines, video and audio recordings and objects, each paired where possible with the testimony of people connected to it. Keys Without Homes suspends house keys kept by southern residents whose homes were destroyed, with videos of three of them; he conceived it during the 2024 war.

Keys Without Homes was shown in Hkeeli Ya Jnoub at Beit Beirut in 2026, an exhibition The National names him as one of the curators of. His work After Supper is included in Geographies of Re-union at Marsah, Tripoli, in 2026.
