Shaikha Al Sulaiti

Shaikha Al Sulaiti is a Doha-based Qatari designer of objects and furniture. Some pieces are released as independent collections; others are developed through collaborations.

A Dezeen Showroom listing presents the Wahaaj tables, part of Al Sulaiti's Imagining Utopia collection of furniture and lighting, as moulded plastic inlaid with recycled fabric. The listing links their colours to the stained glass windows of traditional Qatari houses and their square forms to Bedouin furniture. Design Doha frames the practice around "cultural inquiry", "material intelligence" and "future-facing design", and describes the objects as carriers of memory.

Al Sulaiti is shortlisted for the Design Doha Prize 2026 in the Craft category and takes part in Arab Design Now 2026, curated by Noura Al Sayeh at Design Doha.
