Sabine Karam

Sabine Karam is a Lebanese American sculptor working in ceramics and bronze. Her hand-built ceramics take flowing, abstract shapes, some recognisable as birds in flight or daisy flowers. Since 2020 she has also made sculpture in bronze.

Karam holds a master's degree in biology from the Lebanese University and a degree in fashion design. She began by painting in oil and watercolour, then turned to sculpture after enrolling at the Art Students League in New York. She studied ceramics at the Arts Center of the Capital Region in Troy, New York, from 2006 to 2012, and returned to Lebanon after fifteen years in New York.

She won first prize in 2014 and second prize in 2017 in competitions organised by the Modern and Contemporary Art Museum (MACAM) in Lebanon. She has taken part in group exhibitions at the Arts Center of the Capital Region and at Galerie La Rochane in Beirut (2015). In 2026 Galerie Cheriff Tabet in Beirut presented Corps et Envols, a solo exhibition of her sculpture in bronze and clay.
