Eman Al Hashemi

Eman Al Hashemi (b. 1993, Dubai, United Arab Emirates) is an Emirati artist based in Sharjah. She works across ceramics, printmaking, painting and installation. Her clay works combine urban motifs such as suns, streetlights, buildings and roundabouts into hybrid structures.

Her processes are slow, handmade and labour-intensive, and waiting and repetition serve as both subject and method. She looks at time, labour and automation, and at how value is made and worn away in fast-changing cities. The Horizon We Inherit (2026) asks what is lost when UAE cities are reshaped by expansion and redevelopment. Her works of 2026 include Two Suns and The Sun and the Roundabout.

Al Hashemi holds a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Sharjah (2016). She took an MFA in Ceramics at the Rhode Island School of Design (2023). Aisha Al Abbar Gallery, Dubai, gave her solo shows in 2022 and 2024, and Iris Projects, Abu Dhabi, in 2026. She has shown at Warehouse421 (2018) and at Jameel Arts Centre and the Sharjah Art Museum (both 2019). She was a Salama bint Hamdan Emerging Artists Fellow from 2017 to 2018.
