Aisha Alhammadi

Aisha Alhammadi (b. 2000, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates) is an Emirati artist who lives and works in Abu Dhabi. She works mainly in marble, carving and etching repeated geometric forms into the stone. She also works in photography, film, drawing and printmaking.

Her early interest in Islamic geometric patterns has moved towards geometry as an open system. In it, carved voids and edges count as much as the pattern. Courtyards, thresholds and domestic spaces inform the textures of her work. In Transcending Symmetry, a single geometric structure comes apart across carved surfaces. Duality (2025) places a marble panel of 50 by 50 cm beside a strip of embroidery 300 cm long.

She holds a BA in Art and Art History from New York University Abu Dhabi (2024), with a minor in Film and New Media. Her solo exhibition Freej was held at The Cube, NYU Abu Dhabi, in 2022. In 2025 she showed in The Art That Keeps on Giving at the Abrahamic Family House, Abu Dhabi. She also showed in the Sharjah Islamic Art Festival at Sharjah Art Museum. In 2026 she was a resident of the Dom Art Projects Studio Support Program in Dubai. AWL Gallery represents her.
