About
Green Art Gallery was founded in Dubai in 1995 by Mayla Atassi and is one of the first contemporary art galleries to open its doors in the Middle East. It represents a multi-generational mix of artists from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia, with a programme that also gives weight to Arab Modernism.
Now based in Warehouse 28 on Alserkal Avenue, the gallery works closely with artists, writers and curators to support artistic production in the region. Its roster ranges from Lebanese sculptor Chaouki Choukini to Iraqi American artist Michael Rakowitz, Iranian artist Nazgol Ansarinia and Emirati artists Fatma Al Ali, Afra Al Dhaheri and Asma Belhamar, and in 2026 it added Palestinian artist Khaled Jarada, who is based in Paris.
