About
Galerie Shart is a contemporary art gallery in Casablanca. Hassan Sefrioui founded it in 2006, when the city had no space open to the new art then appearing. It works with artists trained in Morocco and abroad.
The gallery shows painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, installation and performance, at its own address and elsewhere. It collaborates with public and private institutions in Morocco and beyond, and advises collectors.
In December 2017 Shart moved to Rue du 6 Octobre in Racine. The new space opened with work by Abouelouakar, Yassine Balbzioui, Fouad Bellamine, Hassan Echair, Najia Mehadji, Salim Mouline, Younes Rahmoun and Selfati.
