Al Markhiya Gallery presents "Silent Witnesses", a solo exhibition by the Palestinian artist Majdulin Nasrallah, from 6 October to 24 November 2026. It occupies the gallery's space at Building 5, Katara Cultural Village, Doha. The works listed in the catalogue all date from 2026. They include a large oil painting, pieces in Majdalawi linen and cotton embroidery thread, ceramic, small pieces in concrete and lace, and a mirror in an inlaid Syrian frame.

The starting point is the ordinary contents of a home: blankets, cups, shoes and doors. In daily use these things hold the marks of habit and memory. Nasrallah asks what becomes of them after war, displacement and loss, when they remain as witnesses to grief, endurance and violence. The gallery frames the show around "the fragile threshold between comfort and collapse". Here tenderness and terror sit side by side, and objects keep their memories after memory itself has broken.

The largest work, Out of the Blue, Red and Yellow, is an oil on canvas measuring 200 by 250 centimetres. Five pieces titled All strings attached are made of Majdalawi linen. Under the missile tree and Home street home are stitched in DMC cotton thread on the same cloth. The second is paired with The Missile Trees, a set of small PLA forms finished in acrylic paint. Seven works called Delicate Matter combine concrete with lace, while Hawader for one is made of ceramic, gold powder and epoxy. An untitled piece places a mirror in a walnut frame made in Syria in the 1980s and inlaid with tin, animal bone and freshwater mother of pearl.

Nasrallah was born in 1996 and lives in Doha, where she works as an artist, designer and educator. She studied interior design and then interdisciplinary design studies at Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, finishing her MFA in 2019. Much of her earlier work deals with borders and the architecture of occupation in Palestine. It has been shown in Doha at Mathaf: Arab Museum of Modern Art and the Museum of Islamic Art. Abroad it has appeared at the University of Toronto's Art Museum and Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven.
