Biography

Serkan Küçüközcü is a Turkish artist born in Eskişehir in 1980. He works in painting, including acrylic on canvas. His pictures set ordinary objects, toys and fairground rides in open landscapes with no people, at a scale that makes them look out of place.

Küçüközcü studied Print Arts in his home city, graduating from the Anatolian University of Fine Arts. In Daydreaming in 2017 he showed canvases such as My Dream, Organic and Rubik's Cube. They enlarged things like a lollipop or a carousel and left them in deserted country. The missing human figure gives these scenes a sense of displacement. Un-limited Motion in 2022 moved towards landscape, bringing pieces of games, toys and tales into bright compositions.

He has shown with Anna Laudel since 2016, starting with the group exhibition Differences in Istanbul. He took part in Art Market in 2018 and Art Market II in 2019, and in Housewarming II, which opened the gallery's Düsseldorf space in 2019. His solo exhibition BADE, with 20 new paintings on memory and intuition, followed at Anna Laudel in Istanbul in 2026.
