Biography

Dina Nazmi Khorchid is a Palestinian artist who works mainly in woven textiles. She grew up in Abu Dhabi and later lived in Lebanon. Because of her refugee status she has never been able to visit Palestine. Her work looks at landscape, memory and loss, shaped by family histories of displacement.

She makes jacquard and hand-woven pieces, some of which combine photographs, charcoal and pigment woven with cotton. Her series Land, Untitled (2023 to 2024) shows trees reflected in water. The Color I Hate The Most is Rubble & Smoke (2025) draws on her experience of the Beirut port explosion. It was installed at Creekside Arts Residency in California in 2025. Walks in nature form part of her practice.

Her work appeared in The Imaginary Museum at Rizq Art Gallery in 2025. She also took part in the touring exhibition The Lost Paintings: A Prelude to Return. Its artists responded to the lost works of Maroun Tomb, and her contribution was Under The Oak Tree (2025).
