Zico House

Zico House is an independent cultural space in Sanayeh, Beirut, set in a traditional Beiruti house built in 1935 on Spears Street. It was the family home of Moustapha Yammout, known as Zico, who began opening its rooms to artists for rehearsals and exhibitions in the years after the civil war. The name came from the artist Rafic Majzoub, who wrote "Zico House" on the outside wall during one of the first exhibitions. The civil society organisation Zico House was formally established in 1999, the year Beirut was Cultural Capital of the Arab World.

The house describes itself as "a Platform for emerging Artists and for the support and promotion of avant-garde and experimental Art Events". It hosts exhibitions, performances, concerts, screenings, lectures and workshops, and has kept three rooms on the second floor for artist residencies since 2002. Recent exhibitions include Errorism and Absence Walk With Me (2026).
