Le Fil

Le Fil is a solo exhibition by the French multidisciplinary artist Stéphanie Pommeret at Zico House, Spears Street, Sanayeh, Beirut, from 23 to 26 September 2026, open daily from 5pm to 9pm. It marks the end of her artist residency at Zico House in September 2026, held in collaboration with the association Artemed.

According to Zico House, the exhibition grew out of encounters and exchanges with the artists around her, and takes the thread as a link between people and territories, between what is passed on, what is repaired and what resists. Pommeret's work moves between photography, installation, writing, poetry and textile, and draws on everyday life, ordinary objects and fragments of stories. The Agenda Culturel listing describes the show as a route in which each work connects individual stories with the collective memory of Beirut.

Pommeret is based in Saint-Brieuc in Brittany and works, in Zico House's words, "at the intersection of photography and visual arts." Her practice, the house writes, is "deeply poetic" yet "shaped by social questions and by a continuous exploration of techniques, materials, and everyday objects", using "simple gestures and accessible materials often diverted from their usual function." Her exhibitions, residencies, scenography, publications and projects have taken place in France, Poland, Morocco, India, Brazil, Argentina, Peru, Colombia and the United States.

Le Fil closes the residency in the house where it took place. Zico House, a family home built in 1935 on Spears Street, has given three rooms on its second floor to artist residencies since 2002.
