The Gallery at VCUarts Qatar
Doha, Qatar
The exhibition space of VCUarts Qatar, the art and design school in Education City, Doha.

About
The Gallery at VCUarts Qatar is the exhibition space of VCUarts Qatar, the Qatar campus of Virginia Commonwealth University School of the Arts. It sits in Education City, Doha. It runs exhibitions, lectures and events for the university and for the wider cultural public in Qatar, with an emphasis on new directions in art and design. The gallery calls itself the region's first academic exhibition space.
VCUarts Qatar opened in 1998 in partnership with Qatar Foundation and was the first campus in Education City. The gallery's programme sets out to connect local and international practice. In 2026 it showed Pulse of Place, works by eleven Qatari alumni drawn from the collection of Abdulla bin Ali Al Thani. It also hosted How to Become a Rock by Fazal Rizvi. Earlier exhibitions presented Yee I-Lann, Forensic Architecture and Sarah Elawad.
Alongside the main gallery, the team runs project spaces open to proposals from students, faculty and staff, and an undergraduate research award whose projects go on show each autumn. It also organises the school's presentations at the Ars Electronica festival. The gallery is headed by Chase Westfall.
