About
Contemporary Art Platform, or CAP, is a non-profit private organisation in Kuwait, founded in 2011 to develop and support the arts in the country and the wider region. Its programme is built on temporary group and thematic exhibitions. These bring together artists from Kuwait and abroad, at every stage of their careers, under Arab and international curators.
Education runs alongside the exhibitions. CAP holds workshops and seminars, screens films every week and pairs its shows with artist talks and panel discussions. School groups are offered exhibition tours. CAP also has a public library of art books and runs a bookshop.
CAP keeps its own holdings, the CAP Collection, and shows works from it in its exhibitions. The platform is based in the Design District of Shuwaikh Industrial and opens from Saturday to Thursday.
