About
The American Arts Center is a cultural centre in the Gauthier district of Casablanca. It opened on 29 March 2022, after four years of building work, as an extension of the American Language Center.
The building covers 284 square metres over five levels. It holds a 150 seat theatre and cinema with a mezzanine, three floors of exhibition space, workspaces, a café and a studio on the roof terrace. The centre describes itself as a multidisciplinary space for the arts and sciences, and runs an international artist residency.
Its first exhibition was To The Moon and back, a new series by the photographer Yoriyas.
