About
Simbart Projects is a contemporary art gallery in Çukurcuma, in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. It was founded in 2018 with the aim of raising the profile of emerging artists. The gallery describes its space as an exhibition and project space, with a street-level window on the façade.
For its first two years it staged pop-up solo exhibitions by independent artists in different venues around Beyoğlu. In 2020 it moved into its permanent premises on Çukurcuma Street, where it keeps a programme of curated exhibitions.
The gallery says it has worked with more than 40 Turkish artists, both emerging and notable, and takes their work to art fairs in Turkey and abroad. It opens Tuesday to Saturday, 12pm to 6pm.
