About

Kulturnest is a concept store, café and exhibition space in Sin el Fil, Greater Beirut. The sisters Pamela and Michele Chrabieh opened it in 2023 in a family house from the early twentieth century, which they restored. Pamela Chrabieh is an artist, researcher and curator, and Michele Chrabieh is a human resources specialist.

The house holds curated solo and group shows, and Kulturnest also stages exhibitions online and in hybrid form. Its shop sells handmade clothing, jewellery, objects and small artworks by more than 100 artists, mostly from Lebanon, on consignment. An eShop ships worldwide. Works in Thresholds are priced and offered for sale through its online catalogue.

Alongside the shows, Kulturnest runs workshops, talks, art markets and garden residencies each spring and autumn. A drinks corner serves coffee, tea, local wine and craft spirits, the rooms double as a co-working space, and the venue can be hired for events.
