About
Katara Art Center, known as KAC, was founded in 2012 by Tariq Al Jaidah and occupies Building 5 in Katara Cultural Village, next to the amphitheatre. It describes itself as a cultural hub and art incubator that plays an essential role in the growth of the Qatari art scene.
Alongside its exhibition programme, KAC runs workshops, classes and courses, and aims to nurture emerging talent, educate audiences and give artists from the Middle East a platform to reach a wider public. Entry to its exhibitions is free.
