Galerie Mohamed Racim

Galerie Mohamed Racim is a public exhibition venue on Avenue Pasteur in the centre of Algiers, created by the Algerian Ministry of Culture to promote contemporary Algerian artists. It takes its name from Mohamed Racim (1896 to 1975), the Algerian painter and miniaturist.

The gallery, now run by the Établissement Arts et Culture, hosts a busy rotation of temporary exhibitions, retrospectives and cultural events, from surveys of orientalist painting to shows by young Algerian painters and international exchanges, such as a Scandinavian exhibition held from 23 June to 9 July 2026.
