About
Galeri 77 is a contemporary art gallery in Karaköy, in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. It began with themed exhibitions that it designed for the Contemporary Istanbul art fair in 2010. In 2012 it completed its art centre in Karaköy and took on the identity of an institutional gallery.
The gallery represents artists from Turkey and abroad. It shows their work in solo and group exhibitions and at local and international fairs, and it supports their work with catalogues and books. At Contemporary Istanbul in 2025 it presented 38 works by 30 of its artists.
In 2025 Galeri 77 completed a new exhibition space in Karaköy, in a warehouse building about 200 years old that was restored for the purpose. Its 2026 programme has included The Oxen of the God I Believe In by Mehmet Resul Kaçar, Reality Show by Mutlu Aksu, and Rhapsody by Narek Arzumanyan and Artur Eranosian.
