Dar Al-Anda Art Gallery

Dar Al-Anda was founded in 1998 by Majdoline Al-Ghezawi, first in Um Uthaina before moving to Jabal Al-Weibdeh, one of Amman's historic neighbourhoods. It occupies two restored villas dating from the late 1930s, with gallery rooms, terraces and gardens that look out over old Amman towards the Citadel.

Over more than 25 years the gallery has hosted over 200 exhibitions and cultural events, from painting and sculpture to concerts and artist residencies. It focuses on modern and contemporary art from the Middle East and describes itself as working in a quasi-institutional way, with an emphasis on accessibility and community.
