The Bed Is Still Warm

The Bed Is Still Warm is a solo exhibition by Tamara Al-Samerraei at Marfa' in Beirut, opening on 30 September 2026.

Al-Samerraei is a painter whose work also takes in illustration, photography, animation, video and installation, which Marfa' describes as "often mixing the conventions of each medium by using processes and effects such as transferring, scanning, photographing photographs and pentimento".

Tamara Al-Samerraei was born in Kuwait in 1977 and lives and works in Beirut. She received a BA in Fine Arts from the Lebanese American University in Beirut in 2002 and completed the inaugural year of the Home Workspace Program at Ashkal Alwan in 2011 to 2012. Her solo exhibitions at Marfa' include Let Me Stay a Little Longer (2015 to 2016), What Floats in Space (2019) and Promise You Made (2023); elsewhere she has shown Sounding The Interior at Kunsthaus Baselland (2026) and a Statements presentation with Marfa' at Art Basel (2024). Group exhibitions include Tamawuj, Sharjah Biennial 13 (2017), Home Beirut: Sounding the Neighbours at MAXXI, Rome (2017), and Intimate Garden Scene at the Sursock Museum, Beirut (2024).

The exhibition follows Lamia Joreige's As I Weep, which was on view at Marfa' from 25 June to 23 September 2026.
