So Art Gallery in Casablanca presents L'envers des formes, a solo exhibition of new work by the Moroccan painter Mounia Amor. The exhibition opened on 22 September 2026. It brings together a new series of abstract paintings, none shown before. The gallery lists thirty works, nearly all dated 2025/2026, and those it details are oil on canvas. Some works carry raised elements, so that certain forms seem to lift away from the surface.

Among the works are Orbite, at 120 x 180 cm, and Convergence, at 150 x 120 cm. Rayonnement and Cadence are square canvases of 100 x 100 cm, while Axialité, the only work dated 2026 alone, measures 105.5 x 151 cm. The gallery describes the series through a geometric vocabulary: circles, arcs, stairs, diagonals, rectangles and parts of spheres. Hard-edged or translucent, the denser shapes rest on grounds that are often vertical bands or soft colour fields. Planes overlap, and some signs seem suspended.

Light runs through the series. The gallery singles out Rayonnement, Eclipse and Ascension as works that turn on it. The gallery notes that the titles and accompanying texts raise questions. They ask where what guides us comes from, and what remains when light withdraws. Other titles in the show include Entre ordre et chaos, L'ordre secret, Interstice, Echo voilé, Horizon and Le cercle des possibles.

Amor was born in Fès in 1959 and works from a studio in Casablanca. She studied pharmacy in France and took up painting in 1995. Her first exhibition was held in Essaouira in 2000. Her early palette was close to Impressionism, and her compositions later turned towards cubic, more structured forms. L'envers des formes follows her earlier solo exhibition at the same gallery, Ambre et Lumière, held in 2021 to mark twenty years of her career. She also took part in the gallery's group exhibition Héritages Croisés, which opened in December 2024.
