Hameed Al Qahtani

Hameed Al Qahtani is a Qatari artist who works in ceramics. He trained as a mechanical engineer, and he approaches ceramics as a medium that joins function with cultural expression.

He is one of seven Qatari artists in the Museum of Islamic Art's Ektashif programme. The artists travelled through Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara in Uzbekistan and took workshops in geometry, ornamentation, ceramics, miniature painting and embroidery. The work he made after the journey was shown in Ektashif: Uzbekistan, a group exhibition at the Museum of Islamic Art, Doha, in 2026.
