Nabu Museum

Nabu Museum is a museum on the Mediterranean coast at El Heri, near Chekka in North Lebanon, licensed by the Lebanese Ministry of Culture in 2018. Its rust-coloured building was designed with the Iraqi artists Dia Azzawi and Mahmoud Obaidi and was nominated for the Aga Khan Award for Architecture in 2022. The museum states that it is dedicated to "the preservation, presentation, and interpretation of art and artifacts from ancient civilizations to contemporary expressions."

Its collection covers Bronze and Iron Age, Phoenician, Mesopotamian, Greek, Roman and Byzantine objects, manuscripts, ethnographic material, and modern and contemporary Lebanese art. Recent exhibitions include The Ten Artists (2023), Tripoli Ash-Sham (2024), Posters: People Against Wars (2025 to 2026) and Our Identity and Symbols (2025 to 2026). Admission is free and the museum also hosts concerts and talks.
