kanvas

Founded in 2022, kanvas is an immersive art venue and production studio at Al Khayat Art Avenue in Al Quoz 1, Dubai. Its co-founders are Balint Tordai and Zsolt Kassai, part of a European team with long experience in design, events and technology.

The Dubai space is a single room of 200 square metres with a five metre ceiling, where projections cover the walls and the floor. Exhibitions there present digital and new media art by named artists, among them Orkhan Mammadov, Kati Katona, Daniel Labrosse and Maisoon Al Saleh. Spatial Incisions by András László Nagy, a black and white optical work that draws on Op art, runs from 15 September to 15 October 2026 with free entry.

Alongside its shows, kanvas hosts workshops, talks and brand events, and runs an Artist Collective for visual, digital, sound and performance artists. In November 2025 it worked with Elevision on FADA', an immersive presentation for the 20th DIFC Art Nights.
