Ishara Art Foundation

Ishara Art Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to presenting contemporary art of South Asia, including its diaspora and the overlapping histories of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal. It was founded in 2019 by the art patron and collector Smita Prabhakar, who is its chairperson, and occupies Warehouse 3 in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz 1, Dubai.

Its programme follows a regional approach, presenting emerging and established practices to local and international audiences through exhibitions made in partnership with other institutions. The 2026 autumn exhibition was organised with the Han Nefkens Foundation around its South Asian Video Art Production Grant.
