About

Gulf Photo Plus, or GPP, is a photography centre in Dubai. It was established in 2007 and has been based in a warehouse at Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, since 2011. Its directors are Mohamed Somji and Hala Salhi.

Its gallery shows projects by established and emerging photographers, with free artist talks, meetups and panel discussions alongside. In early 2026 it presented Made You Look!, a group show of UAE-based photographers organised with Fujifilm Middle East. What the Sea Leaves Behind followed from 23 September to 7 November 2026, curated by the environmental journalist Richa Syal.

GPP also teaches photography workshops from beginner level upwards and says it has taught more than 15,000 students. It runs a Hahnemühle-certified printing and framing lab, a shop for film, cameras and photobooks, and publishing projects.
