Bayt AlMamzar
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, established 2021
An independent art space with studios, residencies and exhibitions in a converted family villa in Al Mamzar, Dubai.

About
Bayt AlMamzar is an independent art space occupying a former family villa in Al Mamzar, Dubai. The Emirati brothers Khalid and Gaith Abdulla opened it in November 2021 in the house their father built in the early 1980s. They set out to answer the shortage of affordable studios and of places to show work outside galleries and institutions.
The house has eight studio spaces in three rooms, rented by the month, and a live-in studio used for residencies. Residencies last from a few weeks to a year and take in artists, curators, designers and writers. The villa also holds a gallery, a library and space for talks, readings and performances.
Exhibitions have included Introduction by Saif Mhaisen, curated by Munira AlSayegh, in 2023, and Rooms for Error by Nadine Ghandour, curated by Dawn Ross, in 2025. A Patrons' Circle of collectors and a curator funds an exhibition development fellowship and small production grants.
