ARK Kültür
Istanbul, Turkey
An independent art and design space in a 1940s house in Cihangir, Istanbul.

About
ARK Kültür is an independent art and design space in Cihangir, Beyoğlu, Istanbul. It occupies a two-storey house from the 1940s, with a pool in its garden. The architect Gülfem Köseoğlu converted the building in 2008, keeping its character while updating it.
The space sees the house as an active setting for each project rather than a neutral white cube. It looks for work that belongs to the building, or tries to, rather than work that could hang anywhere. Its archive lists solo and group exhibitions from 2016 onwards, by artists including Mahmoud Khaled, Sinan Logie, Selim Birsel, Halit Demirel and Aslı and Can Altay.
In 2025 it showed Today, Everything Exists To End In A Photograph, a group exhibition on photography curated by Beral Madra. Exhibitions in 2026 included tek and Kocakarı Masalları. The house opens to visitors on event days only.
