A public arts centre with a gallery and studios in a restored mud-brick fort in Al Qattara, Al Ain.

About
Al Qattara Arts Centre is a public arts centre in Al Qattara, Al Ain, listed among the cultural sites of the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi. It opened in 2011 in Bayt Bin Ati Al Darmaki, a mud-brick tower and house standing on a mound above the palm gardens of Qattara Oasis.
The centre's gallery shows work by Emirati artists and artists living in the UAE. Its studios for pottery, calligraphy, drawing and painting, music and crafts host classes and workshops for children, families and adults, and a digital room serves photography classes. The sixth edition of its mural programme, Al Qattara Murals, is titled Group Chat and places the murals of eighteen artists side by side.
Building work on the centre uncovered about 3,000 years of settlement, from the Late Islamic period down to the Iron Age. Iron Age industrial remains are now on permanent view in the Qattara Archaeological Basement. The site also has a library and a café.
