421 Arts Campus

421 Arts Campus, previously known as Warehouse421, was established in 2015 inside a renovated warehouse in Abu Dhabi's Mina Zayed port district. Repurposed as an exhibition and community space, the campus has galleries, studios, courtyards, co-working space, a reading room, a café and a public outdoor plaza for screenings, symposia and performances. It describes itself as an independent platform dedicated to emerging artists and creative practitioners in the UAE and across the region.

421 presents eight to ten solo and group exhibitions a year across visual art, design and architecture, new media, publishing, sound and performance, and has staged more than forty exhibitions and over a thousand public programmes since opening. Many shows grow out of its own initiatives, such as the Artistic Development Program, which supports early-career UAE artists towards a first institutional solo exhibition.
