About
x-ist is a contemporary art gallery in Istanbul, founded in 2004. Its programme centres on young Turkish artists whose work starts from an original idea, and the gallery mentors them as their careers develop.
The gallery spent its first fourteen years in Nişantaşı before moving to Tophane in 2018. In 2024 it moved again, to the first floor of a building on Mete Caddesi in Gümüşsuyu, Beyoğlu. It takes part in art fairs in Turkey and abroad and works with institutions outside the country.
