Stal Gallery & Studio

Stal Gallery & Studio opened in Muscat in December 2013 as the Alserkal Group's first cultural project in the Sultanate of Oman, housed in a building given by the Al Serkal family of the United Arab Emirates. Run as a non-profit space for the visual arts, it was shaped from the outset by Omani artist Hassan Meer as artistic director.

The gallery supports young and established Omani artists through exhibitions, residencies, talks and educational visits, and runs the Young Emerging Artists Prize. Its gallerist Volodymyra Sobolevska describes it as "a bridge between artists and audiences, between tradition and experimentation".
