About
Orient Gallery is a commercial gallery in Abdoun, Amman, known in Arabic as Dar Al Mashreq. It opened in 1996 to promote Arab artists, both emerging and established, and offers the work it shows for sale to collectors.
Its roster brings together artists from Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, Sudan and Bahrain, among them Hassan Massoudy, Rashid Diab, Charles Khoury and Hossein Irandoust. The gallery gives particular room to younger Jordanian artists alongside names from across the region.
Its programme runs as a sequence of solo and group exhibitions, among them a show by Charles Khoury. The group exhibition "Visions" brought together six Arab artists from Morocco, Jordan, Iraq and Tunisia. The gallery marked its twentieth anniversary with the exhibition "Journey of 20 Years", which Queen Rania visited. Its 2026 programme includes shows by Nehad Al Azzawi and Saman Zahawi.
