A 600 square metre contemporary gallery in Sidi Ghanem that invites Moroccan and international artists to push their practice.
About
MCC Gallery was founded by Fatima-Zohra Bennani Bennis. Its story began in 2018 in the Marrakech medina with Dar El Bacha Gallery, which the gallery describes as the first in Morocco dedicated to contemporary photography. In 2020 she moved to Sidi Ghanem, the city's creative district, and opened MCC Gallery in a 600 square metre space.
The programme favours ambitious, evolving formats and interdisciplinary projects. It opened with Amine El Gotaibi's Visite (2021 to 2022) and has since presented Yassine Balbzioui's CHARADES, curated by Simon Njami, Mo Baala's Under the Silver Tree and Hamza Kadiri's Monochrome Absolu. The gallery has shown at 1-54 London, 1-54 Marrakech, AKAA Paris, Africa Basel and the Salone del Mobile in Milan.
