Sidi Bou Saïd, Tunisia, established 2003
Commercial gallery in Sidi Bou Saïd showing modern Tunisian and Arab art.

About
Le Violon Bleu Gallery opened in Tunisia in 2003 and is based in the village of Sidi Bou Saïd, looking out over Carthage and the Mediterranean. It was founded by Essia Hamdi, who began as an antique dealer and learned the trade with Aly Bellagha of the École de Tunis. In 1985 she opened her first antiques gallery, Atyqa, which came to specialise in Islamic art and rare pieces.
The gallery shows modern Tunisian and Arab art. Its programme has included solo exhibitions of Farid Belkahia, Aly Bellagha, Abderrazak Sahli, Aly Ben Salem and Najia Mehadji, as well as group shows such as Arab Masters (2026). It also takes part in art fairs, among them Abu Dhabi Art, MENART Fair Paris and Art Basel Qatar.
