About
Doku Sanat Galleries is a commercial gallery with spaces in Ankara and Istanbul. It held its first exhibition in March 1983 in a small room on the seventh floor of an office building in Kızılay, Ankara. Its two present Ankara galleries opened on 2 October 1987 and 20 October 1989.
The Istanbul gallery opened on 4 April 1997 on Av. Süreyya Ağaoğlu Sokak in Teşvikiye. It is laid out as two halls within one space, with white walls, track lighting and wooden floors. The name Doku Sanat Galerisi is set in letters on the stone-clad front beside the entrance.
The programme is built around painting, with solo shows and seasonal group exhibitions. In 2026 the Istanbul space showed Filiz Ural and Jacek Palucha in May, then the summer group show Yaz Karması 2026 from June to October. The gallery also sells works through an online shop.
