Comptoir des Mines Galerie

Comptoir des Mines Galerie was founded in Marrakech in 2016 by Hicham Daoudi. It occupies a 1932 Art Deco building in Guéliz that once served as the headquarters of the Comptoir des Mines, a mining trading company, and stood empty for decades before being restored with its terrazzo floors, staircases, mosaics and original details intact.

Across some 1,200 square metres, the gallery is dedicated to supporting and promoting artistic practices from Morocco and the African continent while fostering dialogue with the international art scene. Its programme runs from modern figures such as Mohammed Kacimi to a younger generation including Mohamed Arejdal, Fatiha Zemmouri and Sara Ouhaddou, and it regularly takes part in Art Dubai, Abu Dhabi Art and Zona Maco.
