About

ATHR Gallery is a commercial gallery for contemporary art in Saudi Arabia. Mohammed Hafiz and Hamza Serafi founded it in Jeddah in 2009, and the city remains its base. The main space is on the fifth floor of an office tower on Tahlia Street, in the AlFaisaliyah district.

The gallery represents Saudi and international artists whose practices run from painting and sculpture to installation, video and other experimental media. Besides its exhibitions, it works with collectors through workshops and networking events, and it shows its artists at art fairs abroad. In October 2026 it takes part in Frieze London and Frieze Masters.

Two further spaces followed the Jeddah gallery. ATHR AlUla opened in March 2022 in the AlJadidah Art District, and ATHR JAX occupies a warehouse unit in Riyadh's JAX District. In 2026 Asma Bahmim and Sultan Bin Fahad held solo shows in Jeddah, and Sara Abdu showed in AlUla. At JAX, Ahaad Alamoudi and Sarah Abu Abdallah were followed by Abdullah Al Othman and Hatem Al Ahmad.
